Oh How Majestic Is His Name

Some people do not seem to understand when they are in the presence of greatness. I remember going up to Niagara falls and trying to grasp all I was looking at when I heard someone say “ big deal it’s some water going over a rock, like when I turn on the faucet in my bath tub.” I remember thinking that’s like seeing the Grand Canyon and saying “I dug a hole in my yard with a shovel, same thing”. It seems as though this form of trivialization has happened for some in their relationship with God. In their mind He is just like them, only bigger. Please read these words:
“Day and night they never cease to say Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty who was and is and is to come. The elders in heaven cast down their crowns before his throne saying Worthy are you, our Lord and God to receive glory and honor and power for you created all things and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelations 4:8-11.
He is not just the man upstairs. He is not just somebody watching us from a distance. He is not just some errand boy ready to do your bidding, or some sound bite played to simply make your life work better. He is not an upgrade meant to enhance your life. He is not just like us only bigger, and He is certainly not to be trifled with. His name is Jesus and He is King, The Majestic Holy One, the one who comes as an innocent lamb to those who will humble themselves under his nail pierced forgiving hands, but He will come as the conquering Lion of Judah to those who dare insult His holiness and persecute those
whom He has set free to the praise, glory and exhalation of His own name. As you walk on the narrow road remember you serve The
Great King, who alone is able to condemn to hell, and raise those who trust in Him to eternal life. That’s our King!!
