Houtzdale Youth Center Update
February 13, 2006

Over the past 2 months it has become even more evident to us just how God’s hands are providing to get the new Houtzdale youth center up and running.  Since its purchase this past summer, we’ve been working to get all the paperwork done to submit for our construction permit, and praying that God will provide funds where there are no funds.  As we approached our first scheduled construction weekend 2 weeks ago, we still had so much to accomplish as we prepared for a mission team from NJ to come out and start building the framework for the counseling offices and library section of the building.  And God provided.  We hosted 4 families from NJ for 4 days who sacrificed of their time, finances and labor to frame out an entire section of the new facility!  Within 2 days what was once a small drawing on a dinner napkin, became reality as walls were erected and wiring installed.

We are now in the process of scheduling and planning on several more mission teams to come out and provide labor and resources to complete the youth center, prayerfully by the time school is out in June.  This is a large task for us to complete in a short timeframe, but we continue to walk in faith with the assurance that God will finish what He started.
