The Ruckus Winter Retreat 2007

    Praise and honor are offered to our King for His faithfulness and promise to reveal Himself to those that diligently seek Him. We asked that Jesus Christ would change the hearts and minds of both students and
leaders as He saw fit to on our last retreat, and He has done more then we could have asked or imagined! The retreat name "Ruckus" embodies the radical love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the unashamed passion we are to live it out with and bring everywhere we go. We encouraged everyone in attendance to drop their excuses, knock down their walls, and bring the ruckus everywhere they go from now on so that Jesus Christ might turn the world upside down through us…maybe one last time.

Many of the students formed spontaneous prayer circles with other students from their schools, asking God to use them to bring the ruckus in Clearfield, Mo-Valley, Curwensville, Altoona, even New Jersey, Florida, and wherever else God takes them. One story in particular is of a girl who had for a long time hated one of her peers because he used to make fun of her. As God would have it, both of them are believers in Jesus Christ now and both were on the retreat. On Saturday night, God moved in this girl’s heart and she went and found the other student and apologized to him for hating him for so long. That student turned around and apologized back for all the harm he had done. It was truly a beautiful sight to behold, because now they are fighting together for their school as siblings in Christ.
