T.A.G.G. Summer
In Review The T.A.G.G. Team had a great summer full of ministry! The team this year was comprised of several members of Team Narrow Road, as well as five who just graduated high school, and one who is doing an internship with us for a year. T.A.G.G. began right after our Road Rules Mission Trip and ended with our summer camp, about eight weeks in all. During that time, the team helped plan and organize our Amped event, the Sacred Ruckus event, and our summer camp. They also organized and put on three Vacation Bible School programs for local area churches. The T.A.G.G. team also planned Friday theme nights for the Crossroad Youth Center, some of which included Decade Night (where people were to dress in clothing from their favorite decade) and Ridiculous Tie/Thai night. Tie/Thai Night was focused on Thailand Missions and there was a guest speaker who had ministered in Thailand for six months. She came and spoke to the students about the experiences she had working with women who had been the victims of neglect, abuse, slavery, and the sex trade. She encouraged them to get more involved in world missions, either through prayer and support, or going to other countries themselves. The T.A.G.G. Team made and sold authentic Thai food that night and sent the proceeds to the Mission the guest speaker had worked with. During
their two months, the T.A.G.G. Team also spent time together, reading
and discussing 2 Corinthians as well as a book called A Tale of Three
Kings by Gene Edwards. A Tale of Three Kings is a book focused on the
brokenness that King David experienced both before and during his forty-year
reign as King of Israel, as well as his submission to authority and
to God’s plans for him, no matter what they were. As the team read and
discussed this book together, many of the members discovered that they
were very rebellious and selfish, demanding their own way when the Bible
says to do just the opposite. This truly was a summer of growth through
busyness and ministry for the T.A.G.G. Team.
